Yahoo! is a popular website and its always full with a lot of contents such as latest news, horoscope, games, emails,... etc. What i am so suprise is after i analysis the website, actually they just use a very simple grid system.
What i can feel is like the front page of yahoo! just like our newspaper. It full words and as my Typography lecture said, most content you have, more harder is. So newspaper always with nice typographic. O.o .. actually i wonder why. Ha, but untill now hvt found out yet. Same with yahoo!. I really not dare to comment more about it as if u ask me how to make it nicer or make it more tidy... i will said like ermmm... ^^" I think maybe i shoud compare more like yahoo! with Google-ig, Lycos..etc and learn more then only i can manage this kind of "quantity" contents.

Contents rich. No doubt at this point.
Due to the target audience--public, the design of the webpage is fine.
But from a designer view, this website still can be improved to make it more interesting, such as the colours, the management of grouping the contents, and so on.
They can try make it more interesting and more things to discover instead of a page with only just providing links.
Yahoo is a very popular and most frequently view website. They take this advantage of not redesigning it since it already got lots of visitors to view their page.
I only see they change on the logo due to different seasons and festivals.
I really hope to see improvements on the design of Yahoo! website.
hahaha agree vf yiwei...the content is veli rich...i hv no idea hw 2 arrange it well too.. yahoo website all the time provide the latest news all around the world...and i think the grid system of the content is reli tidy at the left side..the navigation folo vf a small icon..so that user wont feel bored if all jz words and easy 2 recognise as well...
yahoo i use as my search engine b4 XD but after the invention of google.....sorry yahoo...i am a betrayer><
yahoo many usefull thing in this website such as u can create a small group for urself or even a geocities for ur server. Beside his email is unlimitedXD
For the navigation although it have many but i wont feel it confusing because of their intelligent arrangement really smart~ the arrangement is very consistent and clear to brought out.
